Martin LLP is pleased to announce that Ruth Karfiol Glazer has joined the firm’s corporate practice group. Ruth represents clients on matters relating to middle-market companies and their owners and investors. She counsels companies on formation, venture capital and other equity and debt financing transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions and licensing arrangements. Ruth provides a comprehensive general counsel role to her clients, backed by strategic thinking and strong communication.
Prior to joining Martin LLP, Ruth served as Vice President and Strategic Counsel for Credit Suisse, where she helped lead the bank’s management functions and legal/regulatory affairs. Prior to her role at Credit Suisse, Ruth was General Corporate Counsel to a national trade association serving a multibillion-dollar segment of the transportation industry and was in private practice in the corporate and securities department of an international law firm.
Ruth is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and she received her bachelor’s degree from Columbia College. Ruth is active in her community and participates in the local chapters of the League of Women Voters and the Anti-Defamation League.
