Jason C. Putter

Jason Putter is a Partner in Martin’s Business and Corporate practice group. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A, private equity, and debt & equity financings, and encompasses general legal counsel to industry operators. He represents clients across a wide range of industries, with depth in the hospitality, restaurant, and consumer sectors, including multi-unit operators, hospitality platform investors, and emerging brands engaged in both day-to-day operations and major capital initiatives.

Jason’s experience includes complex acquisitions, recapitalizations, and other strategic transactions, along with sustained support through phases of growth, consolidation and exit planning. His general counsel work includes advising on commercial agreements, employment-related matters, and vendor relationships, with a focus on aligning day-to-day legal decisions with broader business strategy. Clients turn to Jason for practical, business-focused legal advice and clear communication that helps them make confident, informed decisions.

Prior to joining Martin LLP, Jason was a Senior Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he represented public and private companies and their principal stakeholders in M&A, financing, and complex in- and out-of-court restructurings. Jason began his legal career with a two-year federal clerkship.
